Life Changing...

This past week I had the absolute pleasure of traveling to Dallas, Texas for the 2008 Mary Kay Seminar. It was a week filled with training, motivational speakers, new product presentations, etc. All the things you would expect for an end of year event. But I have to say that I received so much more than that!
I truly was moved by this past week. And when I say it was life changing I truly mean that 100%! I have never felt so inspired, so motivated, so ready to jump in with both feet than I do at this particular moment. It was a tiring week, non-stop week but SOOOOOOO worth it!

I truly feel that many times woman have the unfortunate stereotype of being catty, and I have to say that many times we woman can live up to that but this week was amazing. Every single woman that I came in contact with was happy, passionate about what they were doing, friendly, Godly, truly living by The Golden Rule. Which happens to be what Mary Kay built this company on. I have never felt so good about myself - I have never felt so alive, so ready to face the day and be happy about it. I have come home with a renewed sense of self, a new feeling of hope in my heart and a smile on my face that is truly from ear to ear!

Thank you to God for allowing me to have this amazing opportunity...
Thank you to all the beautiful girls in my unit that I spent the week with...Audrey, Lauren, Jeri, Cathy, Jocelyn, Stephanie, Beth, Jessica, and Carol....I am so blessed that I was able to share this week with you all!
Thank you to Kristin for being the coolest and most fun roommate a girl could have! Can't wait to see you again soon...
And last but certainly not least Thank you Mary Kay...thank you for giving woman the most amazing chance to enrich not only their own lives but to woman around the world!
Here I am standing in front of my future vehicle...
Here are Jocelyn, myself, and Cathy standing on the red-carpet in front of headquarters.
Here is (L to R) Cathy, Jocelyn, and myself standing in front of Mary Kay's actual office. They still have her office located in their head quarter's.
Here I am posing by myself in front of Mary Kay's Office...
This banner was hanging up inside the manufacturing plant...I just it was very cool to have this up and in front of all the workers. I would like to add that all the workers had badges on for this amount of time with the company...the shortest amount of years I saw was 8!
Here I am at the end of the tour, as you can see I was tired! My feet were ready to kill me! But it was worth it...
Here is a picture of the Red Jacket that I will earn once I have three team members! I have one now (love you Paula!) so I am very close to my goal, I plan on earning it by September 13th! The day before the anniversary of when Mary Kay started the company!
Here are myself, Lauren, and Jocelyn on the award night for our National Unit...so much fun! Lauren received an award but the picture did not turn out very good, but I am still sooo proud of her!
Here is Beth, Jeri, and Cathy....again for our National Unit Awards. Jeri did get to walk across the Main Seminar for her Court of Sales. She received an amazing topaz & Citrine ring. Truly gorgeous!
Here is my gorgeous Director Audrey...she was receiving an award for Court of Sales (on the big stage). She received a plaque, jewelry, a top director trip, and a cash bonus!
Here are a couple of pics of all the girls...(L to R); Audrey, Jeri, Beth, Jocelyn, Carol, Lauren....
And Stephanie and Jessica...

Max's Garden

Max was having a blast helping Daddy water the plants. THis is a little old. We took it weeks ago but I finally got a chance to sit down and upload it!

Max's Birthday

Here is a video of Max's getting ready to eat his very first Birthday Cake! Check out how quiet he gets when everyone starts singing!!! TOO Cute!

Happy Birthday Max!

I just can't believe that Little Max is one year old! This weekend was a complete whirlwind! I definitely learned what I will do in the future and what I WON'T do in the future....But all in all it was great! I don't have time to go into a ton of details but will try and give a quick rundown of the weekend festivities.

Thursday and Friday were spent hanging out with Carl, Teresa, and the kids. Always fun! The kids were fantastic with Max and would play with him and take care of him while the adults got the inside & outside ready for the party.

Saturday was spent at the beach. We got there in afternoon (hit some not so nice traffic) and had a blast!

Sunday was "The Big Day!" It was gorgeous...the sun was shining, there was a cool breeze, just perfect! Max loved his first taste of cake (we gave him a cupcake), he got some great gifts, and just had a ton of fun bouncing & swimming all day.

America's Birthday...

Here are some pics from this past weekend up in NYC. Sadly we did not see any fireworks but it was good to see Karl's side of the family and just hang out!

Here was Max and Opa walking around outside. All Max wanted to do was be outside. If you took him in the house he would go right back to the door to go out. The first few times it was really cute, then after about the 20th time, not so cute. And he never wanted his shoes on...finally we just said forget it and let him walk around barefoot. He also figured out that he has a strong liking for dirt in his mouth!! LOL!

Here is Mom-Mom and Max with his very first Popsicle. He was really funny because he didn't seem to enjoy it much but then after a few minutes he just started sucking all the juice out of it...hilarious!

And here is Max and Magoo....Magoo of course wanted Max to share but it was not happening, but Magoo did manage to get a few good licks in before Max kept moving!

That is what I am feeling right now. Why did I decide to throw a party for Max- at this point it's beyond me. I am in panic mode right now. I have a million thing to do and about 5 minutes of time to do it in.

Plus I have to pack sometime in the near future for my Mary Kay Trip to Dallas.....could someone please extend the 24 hours we have in one day to about 48 in one day...Thanks, that would be great!
