Priceless...

Here are two quotes from an adorable e-mail that my mom sent me recently. There were about 10 in all but these two really made me laugh out loud!

" A little girl, dressed in her Sunday best, was running as fast as she could, trying not to be late for Bible class. As she ran she prayed,

My Favorite Book...

Lately I have found myself in a food rut. Let's rewind back a few months when Max was still eating baby food I was so proud of myself for making sure Max was eating all his veggies & fruit but when he started eating big people food I suddenly realized that Karl and I don't eat what we should. Even as much as I tried to make sure we were eating good my go to food was grilled cheese, spaghettio's, or oatmeal. Which I realize are not all that bad but still....so I was out shopping one day and came across this book, Deceptively Delicious....which I had seen before....


It was only $16.99 and I decided that I would give it a try. I really like how easy the recipes are, none of them are too difficult to make and what I have tried so far is really good. The other day I made Apple Muffins which have applesauce and carrot puree in them so they kind of tasted like carrot cake. Yummy! Last night for dinner I made a spaghetti pie with turkey meatballs. The meatballs were made with ground turkey and mixed with egg white and broccoli puree. I thought the sauce was great too because it was just a jar of sauce but I added some cottage cheese, carrot puree, and Parmesan cheese. I loved it and Max inhaled it! I am excited to try some more recipes and even happier that I found a way for us ALL to get some veggies and fruits like we need! Happy Eating!

I thought I was being all technologically smart when I figured out how to post my "goal" for the Breast Cancer Walk, but now I can't figure out how to show that I actually have some doantions??? Soooo, just to let everyone know I have had two donations so my new goal is $455.00.....Thanks Ken, Jodi, & Ava! The other donation was from us....HE HE!

Now that we have our computer up and running, my life basically. I wanted to get some pics posted of our trip to Michigan.....

I thought this was absolutely hilarious. Max kept turning the channel, adjusting the volume, or turning the tv on/or off. I kind of got a little creeped out by this shot...."They're here......"

Here is Max with Cousin Brady and Cousin Camerin....they were playing the Wii.

Here is Max playing on the bean bag chair....Aunt Jenny was tossing him and you can clearly see he loves it!!! If only you could have heard him...soooo funny!

The next few picture really do deserve their own posting but I am trying to do this all at once. As many of you saw before Max had his 1st serving of cake on his actual birthday but since we were in Michigan to celebrate with my mom for her birthday we decided that they should share in the celebratory piece of cake, or cupcake in this instance....below is my own version of what is going through his mind....

Back In Action....FINALLY!

Well the sunshine has come back into my world. We got our computer working, and didn't have to go out and spend $400 to get a new one. Thank you Lord....for let me tell you I was praying about this for sure!

Praying that I would have access to my "world". I realize how silly that sounds but the computer has come to be my friend, a very close friend that I need to have daily contact with!

I have pictures from our trip to michigan that I will be putting up very soon so hold tight!

Still In The Dark...

Well I thought our computer was good to go, but it turns out we are still having problems with it. So it looks as though I am either going to have to break down and take it somewhere or get a new one. I really don't wan't to buy a whole new computer when there is nothing wrong with our Monitor, I just need the PC part of it....anyone have any suggestions?? HELP. I was lucky that Karl left his laptop here at home (sorry honey!), but we really, I guess I really need to have one...

My World Has Crashed....

I mean that in a funny tone, kind of. The other day I was trying to update our Norton Protection and somehow got a virus...ironic huh! Of course we were late in updating it so basically we had nothing protecting us so it was bound to happen but still...

Nonetheless our computer was not working. Let me tell you the world stopped for me. I very rarely have the tv on during the day because I am trying, trying, trying to have Max not care about it...so when I no longer had an outlet to the other world I was lost. We still do not have our computer, it is currently in the hands of a computer person and I am just hoping & praying - desperately I might add - it can be fixed.

So in case you were wondering why I have fallen off the face of the earth now you know! Hope to be back in action very, very, very soon!

A Dream Come True....

Ok I have yet to find my camera, but there is a strong possibility that it's somewhere in " The Black Hole" called my suitcase. Yes it's still lying there on my floor, half unpacked. I could of course be in my room right now unpacking but then you wouldn't have anything fun to read so there....

Anyway a dream of mine has come true (besides HOTY of couse!!), I found something that will pick up the cat/dog/max/karl/miranda hair in my house. See below....

My sister has been raving for months about this thing but I really didn't want to spend $30 to get it - well I finally gave in. So far it's been the best $30 I have ever spent! It just sucked up the hair and dirt in one fell swoop, along with the dirt that is ALWAYS in our kitchen from HOTY's boots. I am in love..... :)

Well I am officially back in the saddle. I have no more trips planned, until September that is. LOL!

But seriously my crazy month of July has officially ended and I am hoping to get back into a normal schedule, including trying to post more often on the blog. I do have some really cute pictures from our trip to Michigan, but the problem is that I can't seem to find out camera. Still trying to unpack - so please be patient, they will eventually make it here to this page!
